Conflict Management

What is Conflict Management?
Conflict management involves attempts to keep a conflict from getting worse.  Therefore it involves the use of skills to control the intensity of a conflict and its effects through facilitation, negotiation, and other kinds of intervention and institutional measurers, as well as other means such as diplomacy.

Conflict management is distinguished from conflict resolution in that It usually does not address the deep-rooted sources of the conflict.  Many corporations and other organizations are interested in conflict management to cope with changes and other conflicts that occur daily in relationships among employees or between employees and the public.  Normally these organizations are not interested in transforming structures or procedures within the organization
