How I teach
I believe in interactive, conversation style of teaching.  I like to occasionally use the Socratic dialogue when it seems appropriate.  I make use of audio visual materials, including film clips from pertinent documentaries.  I require the students to read a book and write a review as
a major part of the credit for the course.  I assume that all my students are capable of learning and doing first class academic work, even though it does not always work out that way.

Information about me
I am a lifelong resident of Dallas, and live in the city near White Rock Lake.  I am a practicing lawyer, and ran for a judgeship in a recent election.  I like to read, write, and enjoy classical music as well as rock and pop.  I ride both trail and mountain bicycles.
