How I teach
My courses are a combination of lecture, discussion and small group activities. My philosophy is that students learn what they enjoy and can relate to in their experience, so it is always my intent to actively engage students in terms of how history impacts their lives today.  Class lecture notes are provided each evening so that students may pay closer attention to the lectures and to engage in discussions as they arise.

Information about me
I speak Spanish and French fluently, although my French is getting rather rusty.  I have earned a Black Belt in Karate and like to work out at least four times per week.  I am an active member of my parish community at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Rockwall, Texas. While I am a native of California, I love Texas and am so glad I finally made it here!
