An introductory course in acoustic guitar playing based on acoustic and classical guitar technique. Music reading of melodic, harmonic, and rhythmic exercises are learned to gain initial mastery of the fundamental techniques of guitar playing. Introductory elements about the history and culture of the guitar are included in this course. (2 Lab.)
