Institutional Certificate in Conflict Resolution Studies
The Institutional Certificate in Conflict Resolution Studies is no longer in effect. Any student who completed at least one course toward that certificate by the end of the Summer I 2006 semester has until the end of the Fall 2006 semester to complete the requirements for the Institutional Certificate as indicated below. If students take DMCR courses during Fall 2006 semester that are equivalent to the old courses, these will be counted toward the Institutional Certificate. For example, if a student takes DMCR 1372 (Introduction to Mediation) it will substitute for SOCI 2373 (Basic Mediation) in terms of the Institutional Certificate requirements. The SOCI 2373, however, will remain on the transcript as SOCI 2373. Any students who had not completed the Ethics course (see below) by the end of the Summer I 2006 will be exempt from taking that course since it (the short course) will no longer be offered.
