Our Purpose
The purpose of our education and training program is to help our students grow personally and to become both skilled and thoughtful in their groups, communities, and organizations. One of our goals is to produce conflict management specialists who can advance conflict resolution and engagement, as well as a functional approach to conflict within our communities and society. As an academic institution we provide educational opportunities for our students to think critically and with sophistication and to apply that thinking in their lives.

Our Training
Our training emphasizes experiential and active learning, understanding that adults learn by doing. Most of our classes have role playing activities, intense class discussions, and other experiential activities designed to deepen and broaden the learning process. We have the conviction that collaborative learning among students and teachers helps all to grow personally and professionally and to develop practical conflict resolution skills.

Our Faculty
El Centro College Conflict Management faculty are experienced in the field of conflict resolution as well as training and education. They are dedicated to expanding learning by sharing their knowledge and insights and by extending themselves for their students. Please see faculty profiles.
